Bright New Year

The Latah County 4-H After School Program is gearing up for the new year with big plans. Since this program was launched in Septemeber, it has been slow going but with a new semester and summer around the corner it is picking up fast!

The goals for this year include having 12 students register 4-H After School and having them complete one project out of the six being offered. Once school is finished, hosting a wide variety of summer camps, from a day to a week long.

Currently, 4-H After School is waiting to hear about a small communty grant. This grant would provide funding for registration ($3/child) and background checks for adult volunteers ($5/check). This is being done to provide an incentive for participation by both parents and students.

It will be an exciting new year!
